VWZ, VDZ & VDBZ Series Product Specifications
  Stainless Steel Blades

Description

Diameters 200 and 250mm.
The fans consist of motor and five bladed metal steel impeller fixed to a square fan casing (or wall plate) by three support arms and screws. The motor and impeller may be removed easily while leaving the wall plate in place.

Diameters 300 to 500mm.
These models have four stainless steel blades. The motor and impeller may be removed without removing the wall plate. The extremely robust construction means that standard models can be used in harsh environments. The 630 and 710mm models have three/four stainless steel blades.

Speed Control

Electronic or transformer controllers may be used for speed control of most of these fans. For speed control of 220/240V fans, the fans should be connected using the three-wire system, the auxiliary winding is kept at a constant 220/240V with control of the main windings only.

Motors

The fans have a direct drive electric motor fitted with fully enclosed ball bearings. Standard versions have insulation class B windings. The motors are sealed to IP54.

The motors all have thermal protection: a 'thermal cut-out' protects the motor on the basis of the maximum permissible winding temperature, so the motor is protected throughout the entire control range.

Description

A complete new configuration of the bearings developed in close cooperation with "SKF-research", makes it possible to place the hub directly onto the rotor. The result is an extremely compact fan with rotor cooling above average. Since both bearings and stator are mounted in one part of the fan, rotor and stator are perfectly in line, which means an absolute minimum of motor noise. Due to the fact that bearings are completely isolated from dust and moisture, in combination with low operating temperatures the Indola industrial fan will have a long operational life. The aluminum hub is provided with four polypropylene fan blades. The fan is useable in both air directions by turning the blades 1800 for diameters 300mm to 500mm axial fans. The motor accommodates also radial fan wheels in diameters 315 to +- 450mm. The new configuration of components gives a number of features:

· Good speed regulation
· Compact construction
· Long life
· Low noise
· Reversibility
· Various suspension possibilities

Anti-Corrosion Design

Special die-cast aluminum for use in corrosive circumstances, polypropylene fan blades, stainless steel supports and installation set.

Optimum Speed Regulation

With most fans the speed can be regulated using both electronic controllers or regulating transformers. Indola fans can be both 2 or 3-wire connected for the control of the speed. In the case of 3-wire control, the start winding is connected to a constant 220-240V supply, while the main winding is voltage controlled. The advantage of this system is that the fans have higher torque in the lower revolutions and lower absorbed power. This results in an important lower heat development and an improved operational life.

Accessories

When fans are positioned within reach they should be provided with a protective grill for reasons of safety. These grills are available for each type of fan. They are made from strong steel wire and easy to fit and remove.
